On Friday, the Department of Home Affairs and Justice of the Punjab Government has issued the official order regarding the transfer of senior IPS officers in the state. The official order states that Mr. J Elenchezian has been given the responsibility of Joint Commissioner of Police (City) & Traffic, Ludhiana. Earlier he was posted as Joint CP, Headquarters, Punjab. He replaced the incumbent officer Mr. Deepak Pareek, who has been given the responsibility of Joint CP, Headquarters, Jalandhar. Whereas Mr. Sachin Gupta has been transferred and posted as Joint CP, Security and Operations, Amritsar. Earlier he was posted as Joint CP (Rural), Ludhiana.
While Mr. Gaurav Toora has been posted as Joint CP, Headquarters, Amritsar. Earlier he was posted as SP, Investigation with Additional Charge of DCPO, Amritsar (Rural). The order further states that Mr. Dayama Hairsh Kumar Omprakash has been transferred and posted as Joint CP, Headquarters, Ludhiana. Earlier he was posted as SP SPU, Chandigarh, Punjab. Whereas Mr. Sandeep Kumar Malik has been transferred and posted as Joint CP, Law & Order, Jalandhar. Earlier he was serving as ADCP-II, Amritsar. While Mr. Sartaj Singh Chahal has been transferred and posted as AIG, SB, Intelligence, SAS Nagar. Besides this, Mr. Navneet Singh Bains has been posted as AIG/ SPU (CM, Security), Chandigarh, Punjab. Earlier he was posted as SP/SPU, Chandigarh, Punjab. Whereas IPS officer Mr. Ashwani Gotyal has been posted as ADCP, Headquarters, Ludhiana. Earlier he was posted as Assistant Commandant, 13th battalion, PAP, Chandigarh. While Ms. Pragya Jain has been transferred and posted as ADCP/ Security and Operations, Ludhiana. Earlier she was posted as ADCP-1, Ludhiana.
