The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday shifted two senior IAS officers–J. J. Syamala Rao and K. Sunitha and relieved a couple more from additional charges.
Rao is currently posted as an officer on special duty in the water resources department. He is a 1997-batch IAS officer. He has been appointed as secretary to the government, water resources department.
Rao will take charge of the new role after Aditya Nath Das succeeds Sawhney on December 31. Das a 1987-batch IAS officer, will assume the state chief secretary charge on January 1, 2021.
K. Sunitha has been made secretary, social welfare department. She was secretary to the government in the finance department.
Sunitha is a 1996-batch IAS officer, will take charge from Budithi Rajsekhar. Rajsekhar was holding a full additional charge (FAC) of the social welfare department. Rajskehar belongs to the 1992 batch.
Sunitha has relieved Rajsekhar in the AP Scheduled Caste Cooperative Finance Corporation Ltd. She has been made the FAC of the post of vice-chairman and Managing Director.
Meanwhile, Y. Srilakshmi, a 1988-batch IAS officer, who was waiting for a new posting has been posted as secretary to the state government, municipal administration and urban development, relieving Rao.
