The Assam government issued transfer and posting orders for two IPS officers on 22nd March 2023. According to the orders, Akhilesh Kumar Singh who is currently serving as IGP, STF & Border, Srimantapur, Guwahati has been given additional charge of IGP, T & AP, Ulubari, Guwahati. An IPS officer of 2003 batch and Assam-Meghalaya cadre Mr. Singh has been relieved from the charge of IGP, Border, Srimantapur.
Whereas Prasanta Sagar Changmai who was serving as IGP, T & AP, Ulubari, Guwahati, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Border, Srimantapur. He is an IPS of 2005 batch and Assam-Meghalaya cadre.
