Five officers of the Indian Police Service were transferred on Tuesday evening. Ever since the new DGP Ashok Juneja took charge, there were speculations that RK Vij, senior to him, would be posted outside the police headquarters. Now Vij of 1988 batch has been given additional responsibility of Director of State Forensic Science Laboratory by making him the Director of Public Prosecution.

Till now Pradeep Gupta, who is handling the responsibility of Public Prosecution and Director of FSL, has been sent in place of RK Vij. Gupta, a 1995 batch, has been made ADG Finance, Planning Management, Technical Services, Traffic and Railways at Police Headquarters. He was recently removed from the post of Durg Range IG and posted as Director Public Prosecutor after promotion.

RN Dash, who has been waiting for a good posting in the Police Headquarters for a long time, has returned to the Naxal operation. Mr. Dash, who came into controversy during the tenure of IG SRP Kalluri in Bastar, was posted in the Police Headquarters, but now he has been made DIG in Intelligence Branch and Anti Naxal Operation. Presently, he was posted on the post of AIG Recruitment-Selection.

The government has given a big responsibility to Sanjeev Shukla of 2004 batch. He has been removed from the post of Deputy Director of State Police Academy and made DIG CID. He will be the nodal officer of the state in the case of chit fund. Vineet Khanna of 2006 batch has been made the DIG of Administration at Headquarters. Till now he was handling the responsibility of city army and civil defense.
