As 2022 assembly elections are just two months away, Goa’s chief electoral officer Kunal has been transferred to Delhi. A 2005 batch IAS officer Kunal was posted to Goa in June 2015. He was the chief electoral officer of the state, when Goa went to polls in 2017. Kunal was overseeing the poll preparation and several new initiatives had been taken up in the last few weeks.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, two other IAS officers Ankita Anand and Melaka Chaitanya Prasad were also transferred to Dadra, Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Union Territory. All these officers belonged to the AGMUT Cadre.
