In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle in Jharkhand, two senior IAS officers were transferred by the Hemant Soren government while additional charges were assigned to some.
A 2001 batch officer, Amitabh Kaushal, was appointed and posted as Secretary of the Food Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department. He was earlier serving as Secretary, Planning and Development Department.
Mr. Kaushal will also hold the additional charge of Secretary, Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms Department and Disaster Management Department.
While 2004 batch IAS officer Prashant Kumar, who was posted as Secretary Water Resources Department, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Planning and Development Department along with his duties till further orders.
2006 batch IAS officer and IT Secretary, Ms Vipra Bhal will also look after the work of the Secretary of the Commercial Tax Department along with her duties till further orders.
A 2008 batch IAS officer Chandra Shekhar, Special Secretary, Home, Jail and Disaster Management Department, has been posted as Secretary in-charge of Rural Development Department.
The notification related to this was issued by the state government on Wednesday evening.
