In A Big Delhi Police Rejig, 40 Senior Officers including 11 Commissioner Transferred

A major reshuffle took place at the Additional Commissioner and DCP level on Saturday by senior IPS Officer Rakesh Ashthana. 29 police officers has been Transferred and given new responsibilities.

The development came a day after a shootout took place inside a courtroom in Rohini court. Additional DCP-II of Rohini district Susheel Kumar Singh has also been transferred and posted as DCP (Vigilance and DE Cell).

Transferred include 11 Special Commissioners of Police, one Additional Commissioner of Police and 28 DCPs and additional DCPs. Out of the 40 senior police officers transferred, 30 are IPS officers, the order stated.

With this fresh rejig, women IPS officers will be heading six districts out of 15 in Delhi and three other IPS officers have been appointed in the Special Cell.

This is the first major reshuffle in Delhi Police after Rakesh Asthana taking over as Delhi Police commissioner.

Those 11 Special Commissioners of Police and Responsibilities are:

  1. Additional commissioner of Police/traffic,  2004 batch IPS officer Veenu Bansal has been transferred as Additional commissioner/ CPCR.
  2. Current DCP North/ District, 2008 batch IPS officer Anto Alphonse will be relieved central deputation shortly.
  3. 2008 batch IPS officer Atul Kumar Thakur, currently DCP/South District, has been transferred as DCP/HQ-1.
  4. IPS officer Jasmeet Singh of 2009 batch who is currently the DCP/Central District has been transferred as DCP / special cell.
  5. 2010 batch IPS officer Brijendra Kumar Yadav, currently DCP/Traffic, has been transferred as DCP/Outer North District.
  6. 2010 batch IPS officer Shweta Chauhan, currently DCP/Headquarter, has been transferred as DCP/ Central District.
  7. Esha Pandey, 2010 batch IPS officer who is currently DCP/PCR has been transferred as DCP/ South East District.
  8. 2011 batch IPS officer Ingit Pratap Singh, currently DCP/South West District, has been transferred as DCP/Special Cell.
  9. 2011 batch IPS officer Shankar Chaudhary, currently Additional DCP-1/Dwarka, has been transferred as DCP/ Dwarka district.
  10. 2014 batch IPS officer Vikram Singh, currently DCP/Traffic, has been transferred as Additional DCP-1/Dwarka.
  11. IPS officer Sudhanshu Dhama of 2016 batch who is currently the Additional DCP – 1/ outer district has been transferred as Additional DCP – 1 /New Delhi District.

Apart from this, several other Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Island Police Service (DANIPS) also has been transferred to other responsibilities.
