Uttarakhand Government has transferred and posted 10 IPS officers before the elections in the state. Additional Director General of Police, CID and PAC Dr. PVK Prasad has been named Director Prosecution along with Additional Director General of Police, PAC. While Inspector General of Police Sanjay Gunjyal has been named Additional Director General of Police, Intelligence and Security.
ADG Amit Sinha has been given the responsibility of Police Telecom/CCTNS and ADG Dr. V Murugesan has been given the important responsibility of Crime and Law and Order (Cyber crime and STF). Promoted from DIG to IG post, IG Kewal Khurana has been entrusted with the responsibility of police modernization by removing him from the notification.
