The Government of Assam recently made a minor reshuffle in the state police department last Monday.
Dr. Rabin Kumar, Sumeet Sharma, Mohan Lal Meena, Ripul Das and Leena Doley’s position has been reshuffled on the orders from the governor of Assam.
IPS officer, Dr. Rabin Kumar is transferred and attached to Assam Police headquarter. Mr. Kumar was earlier posted as the Superintendent of Police of Golaghat, Assam. His charges were taken over by IPS Sumeet Sharma , who has joined as the new SP of Golaghat. Dr. Kumar will report to DGP headquarter for further instruction. Also, Mr. Sumeet Sharma, who was initially posted as SP of Sadiya is now replaced by former Deputy Commissioner of police (crime), Police Commissionerate, Guwahati IPS Mohan Lal Meena, who is newly appointed as SP of Sadiya district.
Two more changes were made as- ASP officer, Ripul Das was transferred and posted as SP of SB(z), Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati. Earlier he was appointed as SP of Biswanath and his charges were taken over by the former SP of SB(z), Assam, Kahilipara APS Leena Doley.
