Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has continued its streak of high-level bureaucratic changes, transferring 10 more senior IPS officers on Tuesday morning, barely hours after it had already reshuffled 14 IPS officers late Monday night. The latest wave of transfers comes as part of an ongoing effort by the Yogi Adityanath-led administration to streamline the police force and optimize administrative efficiency across the state.
According to the official notification, key changes include reassignments in major police zones and training institutions, with roles being reshuffled both in Lucknow headquarters and regional command posts.
List of Key Transfers:
1992 batch IPS officer Neera Rawat, previously holding dual roles as Additional Director General of Police (ADG), UP 112 and ADG (Administration), will now continue solely as ADG, UP 112, Lucknow.
Prashant Kumar-II (IPS, RR 2000): Serving as ADG/IG, Lucknow Zone, Kumar has now been posted as ADG (Administration), DGP Headquarters, Lucknow.
K.S. Emmanuel (IPS, RR 2003): Recently back from a deputation with CISF, Emmanuel was on the waiting list but has now been appointed as Inspector General (IG), Economic Offences Wing, UP, Lucknow.
Upendra Kumar Agrawal (IPS, RR 2005): The current IG, Security, will now serve as IG, Lucknow Zone.
Rohan P. Kanay (IPS, RR 2009): Moves from DIG, Technical Services HQ to become DIG, Police Training School (PTS), Gorakhpur.
Rajiv Narayan Mishra (IPS-SPS, 2010): Previously DIG/IG in-charge, Eastern Zone PAC, Prayagraj, now appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police, Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate.
Shivhari Meena (IPS, RR 2010): Former Additional Police Commissioner, Gautam Buddha Nagar, has been moved to DIG, Technical Services, Headquarters, Lucknow.
Satyendra Kumar (IPS, RR 2010): Recently returned from NCRB deputation, was on waiting list and is now posted as DIG, PTS Meerut.
Rajesh Kumar Saxena (IPS-SPS, 2011): Formerly DIG, PTS Sultanpur, he is now DIG, Security, HQ Lucknow.
Vikas Kumar Vaidya (IPS-SPS, 2011): From DIG, Establishment HQ, Vaidya has been assigned as DIG/Deputy Director, Uttar Pradesh Police Academy, Moradabad.
These back-to-back reshuffles underscore the state government’s intent to revamp leadership roles within the police force, especially in areas relating to training, zone-level administration, technical services, and internal security.
