The Union government, on April 29, 2025, officially notified the appointment of two Judicial Officers as Judges of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court.
The newly appointed Judges are:
- Mr. Sanjay Parihar
- Mr. Shahzad Azeem
The appointments come following the approval of the Supreme Court Collegium, which had recommended their elevation on April 16, 2025. The recommendations were subsequently forwarded to the President for formal notification.
These appointments are expected to bolster the judicial strength of the High Court and aid in expediting the disposal of pending cases in the region.
