New Delhi: In a notable inter-cadre movement within the All India Services, 2025-batch Indian Administrative Service officer Abhishek Sehra (IAS: 2025: KN) has been transferred from the Karnataka cadre to Uttar Pradesh following his marriage to Priya Meena (IFS: 2025: UP).
The Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions approved the cadre transfer on marriage grounds under the applicable IAS (Cadre) Rules, 1954.
Sehra was initially allocated the Karnataka cadre after securing All India Rank (AIR) 366 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Following his marriage to Priya Meena, a 2025-batch Indian Forest Service officer belonging to the Uttar Pradesh cadre, his cadre has now been changed to UP.

From Jaipur to the Civil Services
Sehra grew up in the Jagatpura area of Jaipur, Rajasthan.
