Indore: Former MLA Akash Vijayvargiya, son of Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, has announced free coaching for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) examinations for 100 students from Indore’s Assembly-1 constituency.
The initiative, to be launched under the name Namo Coaching Centre, aims to help young aspirants prepare for competitive examinations. According to Akash’s video message, teachers from Kautilya Academy will conduct the classes, while 100 students will be selected for the programme.
The announcement comes amid a series of public outreach activities in Assembly-1, where Akash has become increasingly visible.
Namo Coaching Centre to Help IAS and MPPSC Aspirants
The free coaching initiative is aimed at students preparing for some of the country’s most competitive examinations. IAS aspirants generally prepare for the Union Public Service Commission’s Civil Services Examination, while MPPSC candidates seek entry into Madhya Pradesh’s state civil services.
By bringing faculty from Kautilya Academy on board, the proposed centre intends to provide selected students with coaching support for their examination preparation without charging them fees.
The programme is focused on Assembly-1, the constituency represented by Akash’s father, Kailash Vijayvargiya. The announcement could offer aspiring candidates in the area access to structured preparation, although details about the selection process, class schedule and launch date have not yet been specified in the information available.

Gifts for 40,000 Girls After Navratri Garba
Alongside the coaching initiative, Akash Vijayvargiya is overseeing arrangements to distribute gifts to around 40,000 girls from Assembly-1 who participated in garba events during Navratri, where devotional songs and bhajans were played.
The two initiatives target different groups. The coaching programme is aimed at young people preparing for competitive examinations, while the gift distribution is directed at girls who took part in the festive events.
Together, these activities have increased Akash’s engagement with residents of Assembly-1.
Political Activity Picks Up in Assembly-1
Akash’s announcement came a day after Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav and BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal attended a Chunri Yatra organised by former MLA Sudarshan Gupta on Sunday.
The participation of senior BJP leaders brought renewed attention to Gupta’s activities in the constituency. Gupta, who is considered close to Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar’s camp, has also been stepping up his public presence after a gap.
Akash Vijayvargiya, meanwhile, has previously represented Indore’s Assembly-3 constituency as an MLA. His recent activities have been more visible in Assembly-1, where his father has a strong political presence.
This has fuelled speculation in Indore about whether Akash could seek a BJP ticket from Assembly-1 in the next Assembly election. However, no formal announcement about his candidature has been made.
Sanjay Shukla’s BJP Entry Adds to the Constituency’s Political Picture
Kailash Vijayvargiya defeated Congress candidate Sanjay Shukla in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. Shukla had won the Assembly-1 seat in 2018 but lost it to Vijayvargiya in 2023. He has since joined the BJP, although he has not visibly staked a claim to contest from the constituency again.
With Sudarshan Gupta increasing his public activities and Akash Vijayvargiya expanding his outreach through initiatives such as free competitive-exam coaching, Assembly-1 is drawing renewed political attention.
For now, the Namo Coaching Centre announcement places the focus on support for IAS and MPPSC aspirants. Its impact will depend on how the programme is implemented and how many students it ultimately helps prepare for these examinations.
