Ambedkar Nagar: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth a total of ₹706.81 crore covering the Tanda, Alapur and Jalalpur Assembly constituencies in Ambedkar Nagar.
The projects were unveiled at the Govind Sahib Math complex, where the Chief Minister addressed a gathering and spoke about development works in the district.
194 Projects Worth ₹706.81 Crore
A total of 194 projects were included in the inauguration and foundation-laying programme.
- 158 projects worth ₹560 crore were inaugurated.
- 36 projects worth ₹146 crore had their foundation stones laid.

The projects are spread across three Assembly constituencies:
- Tanda: 69 projects worth ₹217.69 crore
- Alapur: 75 projects worth ₹313.18 crore
- Jalalpur: 50 projects worth ₹176.93 crore
Together, the projects cover development works valued at ₹706.81 crore.

Yogi Adityanath Speaks on Development
During his address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticised opposition parties and alleged that legislators from the Samajwadi Party were not taking an interest in development work in the area.
He said that the local SP legislators had not approached him regarding development-related matters. He credited MLC Dr Hari Om Pandey, former MP Ritesh Pandey and Katehari MLA Dharmraj Nishad with raising development-related issues.
The Chief Minister’s remarks came while addressing the gathering following the inauguration and foundation-laying programme.
Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar Targets Opposition
District in-charge and Panchayati Raj Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar also criticised the Samajwadi Party during the programme.
Rajbhar alleged that during the previous SP government, students from other states came to Uttar Pradesh to pass examinations through cheating. He also alleged irregularities in recruitment and accused political leaders of seeking money for jobs.
During his address, Rajbhar also made a political remark about the meaning of the term PDA, using it to target the opposition.
Development Demands Raised
MLC Dr Hari Om Pandey presented details of development works and raised demands before the Chief Minister relating to roads, hospitals and other requirements.
Former MP Ritesh Pandey and Katehari MLA Dharmraj Nishad also raised demands related to development in the district.
BJP Leaders and Officials Attend
Several BJP leaders and public representatives attended the programme.
Those present included BJP Awadh region president Awadhesh Dwivedi, district president Dilip Dev Patel, former MLAs Triveniram, Sanju Devi and Anita Kamal, District Panchayat administrator Shyam Sundar Verma, Ayodhya BJP in-charge Dr Mithilesh Tripathi, former district president Ram Prakash Yadav, Ramashankar Singh and Kapildev Verma, among others.
The programme covered development projects across the Tanda, Alapur and Jalalpur Assembly constituencies, with 158 projects inaugurated and 36 projects receiving foundation stones.
