Mumbai: Bank of Baroda (BoB) celebrated its 119th Foundation Day by reaffirming its commitment to trust, innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth. Under the theme “Leading with Trust”, the bank announced a wide range of initiatives across technology, digital banking, retail lending, MSME finance, green financing, and financial inclusion.

The celebrations marked a significant milestone in the bank’s journey of over a century, with a focus on strengthening customer relationships and building future-ready banking solutions.

Sachin Tendulkar Launches New bob World Digital Banking Platform

Bank of Baroda’s Global Brand Ambassador Sachin Tendulkar, who attended the Foundation Day celebrations as Guest of Honour, unveiled the reimagined bob World mobile banking platform.

The upgraded platform has been designed to provide customers with a smarter, safer, and more personalised banking experience.

Key features of the new bob World app include:

  • AI-powered banking solutions.
  • Hyper-personalised customer experiences.
  • Multilingual accessibility.
  • Conversational banking features.
  • Advanced authentication and fraud protection.
  • Personal Finance Management tools.
  • Integrated banking services.

The bank said customer migration to the new platform will take place in a phased manner to ensure a smooth transition.

Bank of Baroda Inaugurates AAROHAN GCIC for Digital Transformation

On its 119th Foundation Day, Bank of Baroda inaugurated AAROHAN GCIC (Global Capability, Innovation & Transformation Centre), a strategic centre focused on technology, research, innovation, and digital transformation.

The centre will help the bank:

  • Develop future-ready banking solutions.
  • Accelerate technology-led transformation.
  • Encourage innovation and collaboration.
  • Strengthen digital banking capabilities.

AAROHAN GCIC will leverage the bank’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3-appraised development and service practices to improve quality, delivery, and institutional capabilities.

ADITI 2.0 Brings AI-Powered Multilingual Banking Assistance

Bank of Baroda launched ADITI 2.0, its upgraded Intelligent Virtual Front Office powered by advanced conversational AI technology.

The platform enables customers to interact with the bank through natural voice conversations in their preferred language.

Features of ADITI 2.0 include:

  • Multilingual voice-based banking.
  • Product and service assistance.
  • Support for independent banking transactions.
  • Personalised customer interactions.
  • 24×7 accessible digital support.

The initiative aims to make banking more convenient, inclusive, and accessible for customers across India.

New Digital Payment and ATM Technology Initiatives

As part of its digital innovation strategy, Bank of Baroda introduced several new technology-based services.

UPI Global Reverse Acceptance

The bank launched UPI Global Reverse Acceptance, allowing international tourists, overseas Indians, and eligible foreign wallet users to make payments at Bank of Baroda UPI QR merchants in India using their home-country banking or fintech applications.

The initiative will:

  • Improve payment convenience for international visitors.
  • Create new opportunities for merchants.
  • Strengthen India’s digital payment ecosystem.

ATM NFC-Based Tap and Transact Facility

Bank of Baroda is introducing NFC-based tap transactions on newly installed ATMs and Cash Recycler Machines (CRMs).

With this feature, customers will be able to complete ATM transactions by simply tapping NFC-enabled debit cards instead of inserting cards, making transactions faster and more secure.

Bank Launches New Retail Loan Schemes for Customers

To expand retail banking services, Bank of Baroda introduced several new loan products.

bob Elev8 Home Loan

The bank launched bob Elev8 Home Loan for young salaried professionals.

The scheme provides:

  • Higher loan eligibility.
  • Step-up EMI repayment options.
  • Repayment structures aligned with future income growth.

bob Swabhoomi Home Loan

The bank introduced bob Swabhoomi, a home loan scheme for purchasing residential plots from private builders and developers.

The scheme applies to RERA-approved projects and offers:

  • Flexible repayment options.
  • Stage-wise disbursements.
  • Structured financing solutions.

bob PAL (Portfolio-backed Approved Limit)

Bank of Baroda launched bob PAL, a digitally enabled overdraft facility against eligible securities.

Customers can access funding up to ₹5 crore against:

  • Shares.
  • Mutual funds.
  • Bonds.
  • Debentures.
  • Sovereign Gold Bonds.

The facility allows customers to meet short-term financial requirements while continuing to hold their investments.

MSME Financing Initiatives to Support Entrepreneurs

Bank of Baroda introduced new schemes aimed at strengthening MSMEs and supporting entrepreneurship.

bob Agniveer Scheme

The bank launched the bob Agniveer Scheme for retired Agniveers under the Agnipath scheme.

The initiative provides:

  • Credit support up to ₹5 crore.
  • Funding for new businesses.
  • Expansion of existing enterprises.
  • Working capital requirements.

The scheme includes simplified collateral norms and support through CGTMSE/NCGTC mechanisms.

Corporate Invoice Financing

The bank introduced Corporate Invoice Financing for MSMEs with annual turnover of up to ₹500 crore.

The facility will help MSMEs by:

  • Improving working capital availability.
  • Enabling faster invoice-based financing.
  • Strengthening supplier and corporate relationships.

Bank of Baroda Launches Green Finance Scheme for EV Infrastructure

To support sustainable development, Bank of Baroda launched bob Green PLUG, an MSME lending scheme focused on electric vehicle infrastructure.

The scheme provides financing up to ₹5 crore for:

  • EV charging stations.
  • Battery swapping infrastructure.
  • Renewable energy-integrated charging facilities.
  • Related sustainable mobility projects.

The initiative supports India’s growing electric vehicle ecosystem and promotes green finance.

New Masterstroke Current Account for Businesses

Bank of Baroda introduced the Masterstroke Current Account, a premium banking solution for businesses.

The account offers benefits such as:

  • Free cash deposits up to ₹1 crore per day.
  • Complimentary Soundbox QR and POS solutions.
  • Collateral-free overdraft facility up to ₹2 crore through bob Digi Udyam.
  • Personal accident insurance cover up to ₹2 crore.

119 New BC Outlets Launched to Expand Financial Inclusion

To mark its 119th Foundation Day, Bank of Baroda inaugurated 119 Business Correspondent (BC) outlets across India.

The new outlets will expand banking access in:
