New Delhi: Bank of Baroda (BoB) reported a 17.45% year-on-year increase in its global business to ₹32.64 lakh crore as of September 30, 2026, according to the bank’s provisional business figures for the second quarter of FY2026-27. The public sector lender disclosed the figures in an exchange filing submitted to the BSE on October 3, 2026.
The bank’s global business, comprising global deposits and global advances, stood at ₹32,63,697 crore at the end of September 2026, compared with ₹27,78,859 crore a year earlier. At the end of March 2026, the figure was ₹30,78,366 crore.
Global advances recorded stronger year-on-year growth than deposits during the period. Advances increased 18.27%, while deposits grew 16.75%, reflecting growth in both sides of the bank’s business.
The lender also recorded an increase in domestic deposits, domestic advances and retail lending. However, the September 2026 figures are provisional and remain subject to audit or review by the bank’s statutory central auditors.

The bank’s global deposits stood at ₹15,00,012 crore on September 30, 2025, and increased to ₹16,48,487 crore by March 31, 2026.

Bank of Baroda Appointed Sponsor of a Pension Fund
In a separate development, the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) formally appointed Bank of Baroda as a sponsor of a pension fund on October 1, 2026.
The bank received its Certificate of Appointment as Sponsor of the Pension Fund under Section 27 of the PFRDA Act, 2013, during the NPS Divas 2026 event.
According to the bank, the appointment marks its entry into the pension fund business and makes it the second public sector bank to enter this segment.
The development expands the lender’s presence beyond its traditional banking operations into the pension fund industry.
Bank of Baroda Raises $700 Million Through Bond Issuance
Earlier, on August 14, 2026, Bank of Baroda announced the completion of a $700 million issuance of senior unsecured fixed-rate notes under its medium-term note (MTN) programme.
The issuance comprises two tranches:
- $400 million three-year notes: Carrying a coupon rate of 5.114% per annum.
- $300 million five-year notes: Carrying a coupon rate of 5.318% per annum.
- Interest payments: Coupons are payable semi-annually.
- Issuing entity: Bank of Baroda’s IFSC Banking Unit.
- Scheduled issuance date: August 20, 2026.
- Proposed listings: Singapore Exchange, India INX and NSE-IX Exchange in GIFT City.
The bond issuance represents a separate funding development and is distinct from the bank’s provisional Q2 FY27 business figures.
