Mumbai: Bank of Baroda, one of India’s leading public sector banks, has launched bob World 2.0, its next-generation mobile banking application powered by artificial intelligence (AI). The new app represents the bank’s next phase of digital transformation and is designed to deliver a smarter, more personalised, conversational and secure banking experience.
The application was demonstrated on September 11, 2026, at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026 in Mumbai to Sanjay Lohiya, Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in the presence of Dr. Debadatta Chand, Managing Director & CEO, Bank of Baroda, and the bank’s Executive Directors.

According to Bank of Baroda, bob World 2.0 is designed as a key component of its broader digital transformation journey.
The application has been developed on a modern microservices-based digital architecture and is positioned as an intelligent financial ecosystem. The bank plans to progressively extend this digital experience across its mobile and internet banking channels, creating a unified omni-channel banking ecosystem.
The new platform focuses on making banking more intuitive and responsive to individual customer requirements.
