New Delhi: Bank of India (BOI) showcased 12 digital initiatives at the Global FinTech Fest (GFF) 2026, held from September 9 to 11 in Mumbai. The initiatives covered digital payments, cards, Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), self-service banking, compliance, customer engagement and fintech collaboration.
The Bank’s booth was inaugurated by Rajneesh Karnatak, Managing Director & CEO, Bank of India, along with senior executives and technology partners. The showcase highlighted the bank’s focus on combining emerging technologies with its public-sector banking reach to deliver secure, scalable and inclusive solutions.
Bank of India Showcases Digital Payment Solutions
Several initiatives presented by Bank of India focused on making digital payments more convenient and accessible.
UPI Help 2.0
UPI Help 2.0 enables customers to view UPI transaction history, raise complaints and manage mandates across UPI applications through the Omni Neo mobile banking application. It also includes a transaction replay facility.
UPI Tap & Pay on PoS
The bank showcased UPI Tap & Pay on PoS, which enables contactless UPI payments by tapping an NFC-enabled smartphone on supported payment terminals.
The facility supports transactions of up to ₹5,000, providing customers with another convenient way to make digital payments.
Unified Ticketing Platform
Bank of India also presented its Unified Ticketing Platform, integrated with an NPCI platform for interoperable QR-based ticketing across public transport systems.
The solution can support ticketing for:
- Metro services
- Bus services
- Other public transportation networks
IMPS Bulk Payment
The IMPS Bulk Payment facility enables corporate customers to submit bulk payment requests through internet banking, helping businesses manage multiple digital payments more efficiently.

Bank of India Launches Programmable CBDC
A key initiative showcased at GFF 2026 was user-level Programmable Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
The solution allows digital tokens to be issued with predefined conditions, including:
- Merchant restrictions
- Geographical limits
- Expiry periods
- Purpose-specific usage conditions
The programmable CBDC solution can support applications such as targeted subsidies and purpose-bound benefit transfers, where digital funds are intended to be used for specific purposes.
Terra Mastercard World Credit Card Introduced
Bank of India also launched the Terra Mastercard World Credit Card, a contactless international credit card offering benefits related to travel, dining, entertainment and lifestyle.
The card comes with no issuance fee, while the annual fee for the primary card is ₹990.
Android-Based Cash Recycler Machine Showcased
In collaboration with Hitachi, the bank showcased an Android-based Cash Recycler Machine designed to provide multiple self-service banking facilities.
The machine supports:
- Cash transactions
- UPI-based cardless withdrawals
- Green PIN generation
- Instant debit card issuance
The solution is aimed at expanding self-service banking facilities and improving access to routine banking services.
BOI Presents Compliance and Fintech Platforms
Bank of India also showcased platforms focused on compliance, customer engagement and collaboration with fintech companies.
ALPHA PLUS
ALPHA PLUS is a technology-enabled compliance management platform designed to support the bank’s compliance processes.
FinTech Connect Portal
The FinTech Connect Portal provides an open channel for fintech companies to register with Bank of India and submit proposals for potential collaboration.
Markytics
Markytics is an in-branch customer engagement and cross-selling platform aimed at improving customer interactions and helping identify relevant banking products and services.
E-Kosha 2.0
E-Kosha 2.0 is a voice-based conversational banking solution powered by ToneTag, designed to simplify access to digital banking services through voice-enabled interactions.
Bank of India Leadership Participates in GFF Discussions
Several senior leaders from Bank of India participated in panel discussions during Global FinTech Fest 2026.
The discussions covered key areas of the financial technology sector, including:
- Artificial intelligence
- Credit
- Cybersecurity
- Operational resilience
- Fintech collaboration
