BEL Bags ₹596 Crore Defence Orders for Drone Detection, Communication and Electronic Warfare Systems

Bengaluru: Navratna PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has announced that it has received additional defence contracts worth ₹596 crore since its last disclosure on January 1, 2026. The fresh orders further strengthen BEL’s position as a key supplier of advanced defence electronics to the Indian Armed Forces.

Wide Range of Defence Solutions

The newly secured orders include drone detection and jamming systems, mobile communication terminals, software solutions, system upgrades, spares, and related services. These contracts reflect the growing demand for advanced surveillance, communication, and electronic warfare solutions in the country’s rapidly evolving defence landscape.

BEL stated that the orders align with India’s increasing focus on modern warfare technologies and indigenous defence capabilities.

Commenting on the development, S.
