Bengaluru: BEML Limited has taken its message of vigilance, integrity, transparency and accountability beyond the workplace by conducting Vigilance Awareness Gram Sabhas in communities in Bengaluru and Palakkad as part of its Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026.
The initiative focused on encouraging people to understand vigilance as a shared responsibility and highlighted the importance of making honest and responsible choices in everyday life.
Through these outreach programmes, BEML’s Vigilance Department engaged with students, villagers, Panchayat representatives, workers and other community members.
BEML Organises Vigilance Awareness Gram Sabha in Bengaluru
BEML organised a Vigilance Awareness Gram Sabha at Ramohalli Village in Bengaluru South on October 1, 2026, in association with the Ramohalli Gram Panchayat and the Government Higher Primary School, Ramohalli.
Around 200 participants attended the programme, including students, school staff, community representatives and BEML officials.
The programme focused on introducing the importance of integrity and accountability to the younger generation.
Students Sensitised on Integrity and Accountability
A key focus of the Bengaluru programme was engaging students and encouraging them to understand the importance of ethical conduct in their daily lives.
A skit on vigilance was also presented during the programme to communicate the message in a simple and relatable manner.
The initiative highlighted the importance of developing ethical values at an early age and encouraging young people to become responsible members of society.
Key aspects of the Bengaluru programme included:
- Participation of around 200 people
- Engagement with students and school staff
- Participation of Panchayat and community representatives
- Awareness on integrity and accountability
- A vigilance-themed skit for students

Vigilance Awareness Campaign Reaches Palakkad
BEML also conducted a Vigilance Awareness Gram Sabha at Chullimada Village near Kanjikode in Palakkad on September 26, 2026.
Around 70 participants attended the programme, including members of Pudussery Gram Panchayat, VB-G RAM G workers, BEML Vigilance officials and representatives from other departments.
The programme focused on creating greater awareness about combating corruption and informing citizens about the mechanisms available for raising concerns and seeking redressal.
BEML Highlights Role of Citizens in Combating Corruption
The Palakkad programme emphasised that vigilance is not limited to organisational rules and procedures but requires participation from the wider community.
Anti-corruption messages were displayed at the venue to reinforce awareness about the importance of transparency and ethical conduct.
The initiative highlighted several key principles:
- Integrity in everyday decisions
- Transparency in public and organisational activities
- Accountability in the use of public resources
- Awareness about anti-corruption mechanisms
- Responsible participation by citizens
- Speaking up against improper practices
BEML Takes Vigilance Awareness Beyond the Workplace
The Vigilance Awareness Gram Sabhas form part of BEML’s efforts to take its vigilance initiatives directly to communities.
By engaging with students, local residents, Panchayat representatives and workers, the company aims to promote the understanding that integrity is a shared responsibility.
The programmes in Bengaluru and Palakkad also sought to show how awareness and ethical values can contribute to building more transparent and accountable communities.
