Patna: The Bihar government has decided to provide land to schools that currently do not have adequate land, with priority being given to landless schools. The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has already made five acres each available for 20 Kendriya Vidyalayas in the state.
The department has also begun action to remove encroachments from school premises and playgrounds.
20 Kendriya Vidyalayas Receive Land
According to the state government, the Revenue and Land Reforms Department has provided five acres of land each to 20 Kendriya Vidyalayas.

The move follows a request from the Education Department to make land available for schools without land and to free school properties from encroachments.
Around 147 Schools Reportedly Affected by Encroachment
Last month, the Education Department had directed concerned education officials to provide details of schools whose land had been encroached upon.
The information submitted to the department identified around 147 schools whose land was reportedly affected by encroachment.
Following the request, the Revenue Department has initiated action both to provide land to landless schools and to remove encroachments from existing school land.
