Patna: The Bihar government has launched a major education initiative to help students prepare for medical and engineering entrance examinations like NEET and JEE without depending on expensive private coaching institutes.

Under the programme “Unnat Shiksha – Ujjwal Bhavishya” (Advanced Education – Bright Future), live classes for entrance exam preparation have started in 10 model schools of Patna. The initiative aims to provide quality, inclusive and technology-based education opportunities to students from both urban and rural areas.

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary inaugurated the live classes in 10 model schools of Patna, marking the beginning of a new education support system for students preparing for competitive examinations.

Through this initiative, students will be able to:

  • Attend live classes at designated model schools
  • Access online classes from home

  • Receive quality coaching facilities without travelling outside their districts

The programme is expected to benefit students who face financial or geographical challenges in accessing private coaching facilities.

Initiative Launched Under Seven Resolve-3 “Unnat Shiksha – Ujjwal Bhavishya”

The Bihar government has introduced this initiative under Saat Nischay-3 (2025-30) with the objective of improving access to high-quality education.

Under the scheme, selected Saraswati Vidya Niketan (Model Schools) will provide students with modern, innovative and inclusive learning opportunities.

The government has selected a total of 544 schools by including:

  • All district schools across Bihar
  • One higher secondary school from every block of the state

Additionally, 155 existing government and government-aided schools will also be upgraded under the programme.

The aim is to ensure that students from cities as well as rural areas can access better education facilities close to their homes.

Students Will Get JEE and NEET Preparation Facilities Near Their Homes

The Bihar government’s initiative focuses on reducing dependence on costly coaching centres located mainly in major cities.

Through digital classrooms and live teaching facilities, students will now have access to structured preparation for competitive exams while continuing their regular school education.

The programme is expected to create equal learning opportunities for students across the state and support talented students who require additional guidance for national-level entrance examinations.
