Patna: The Bihar government is participating in SEMICON India 2026 in a major initiative to strengthen the state’s engagement with the global semiconductor industry and showcase investment opportunities in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sectors.
The three-day event is being held from September 17 to 19 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, and is being organised by the India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA).
The Bihar Industry Department is participating in the event with a delegation led by Resident Commissioner Manoj Kumar Singh and MSME Director Aman Sameer. Through its participation, Bihar is highlighting the state’s investment potential, policy support and emerging industrial ecosystem for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing before national and international industry stakeholders.

As part of the event, roundtable discussions were held with stakeholders from the United States and Japan.

Bihar Participates in Business-to-Government Meetings
The Bihar delegation also participated in Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings with investors, industry representatives and other stakeholders. During these meetings, discussions focused on potential investments, sector-specific opportunities and government support available to facilitate investments in the state.
The delegation also presented Bihar’s Semiconductor Policy 2026, along with the industrial infrastructure being developed in the state.The investment-focused approach of the Bihar government was highlighted as part of the state’s efforts to attract investments in semiconductor and allied sectors.
