On Thursday, the Assam government relieved 2008 batch IAS officer Vinod Seshan and placed him at the disposal of the Department of Personnel and Training (DopT), New Delhi for appointment as Director to the Govt. of India, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. He was posted as Secretary of Agriculture Department.
