In a tragic incident, 1999 batch IPS officer HK Lohia was found dead at his home in Udayawala, Jammu. According to initial reports, the police have recovered Lohia’s body from his house and are investigating further. Many officers from the state and the whole IPS fraternity offered their condolences.
Jammu ADGP Mukesh Singh said in an official statement, “The body of Hemant Lohia DG Jail has been found under suspicious circumstances. In the first investigation of the crime scene, this suspicious case of murder has come to light. The domestic help of the officer is absconding. His search has been started. Forensic team and crime team are investigating the spot.” He said that the investigation process has started. The ADGP said that senior officials of the local police are present on the spot.
