The Union Public Service Commission declared the results of Civil Service Mains Examination on March 17 i.e. a day before Holi. CSE Mains examination was conduced from January 7, 2022 to January 16, 2022. This is for the first time when UPSC declared the results of CSE Mains Exam in just 60 days after the examination. Now candidates can check their results on official website i.e. upsc.gov.in

Civil Services Examination 2021 was conducted for total 712 posts. With the declaration of the results of Mains examination only 1823 candidates are selected for the final round of interview which is going to be conducted from April 5 in the Office of UPSC at Dholpur House, New Delhi.

Though this is the fastest declaration of results of CSE Mains exam, the number of selected candidates are lesser in the decade of civil services exam. “Though it is an overwhelming news of getting selected for further round on a day before festival of colors, for those 1823 candidates, it also shows the lack of emotional intelligence of UPSC for rest of the candidates who could not clear the mains exam”, stated by some bureaucrats. This time not only the vacancies were less in number, but also fewer candidates got selected in the mains exam. Now those who have cleared the 2nd round of selection process, they have to fill their 2nd DAF from 17th to 24th of March, 6 PM on the official website of UPSC.
