New Delhi: The Central Government on Wednesday issued multiple notifications concerning senior bureaucratic appointments and deputations across various departments and ministries.

Manisha Sinha Repatriated for Promotion in Cadre

Senior officer Manisha Sinha (IPoS: 1992) has been prematurely repatriated from her central deputation to avail of a promotion in her parent cadre. Sinha, who is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) under the Ministry of Finance, will now return to her cadre in the Indian Postal Service (IPoS).

This move comes as part of routine cadre management and to facilitate her career progression within her parent service.

Mangesh Ghildiyal’s PMO Tenure Extended

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of Mangesh Ghildiyal’s central deputation tenure. Ghildiyal, a 2012 batch IAS officer from the Uttarakhand cadre, currently serves as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

His tenure has been extended beyond October 1, 2025, until March 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Ghildiyal has been a key functionary in the PMO, involved in several high-level policy monitoring and coordination roles.

Gourangalal Das Appointed Ambassador to South Korea

In a major diplomatic posting, Gourangalal Das (IFS: 1999) has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to the Republic of Korea. Das is presently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

He is expected to take up the new assignment shortly, replacing the incumbent ambassador. With his extensive experience in foreign policy and multilateral diplomacy, Das is expected to play a pivotal role in deepening India–South Korea relations, particularly in areas of trade, technology, and strategic cooperation.
