Palnadu, Andhra Pradesh: Public sector lender Canara Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to financial inclusion and inclusive economic growth by participating in the Credit Outreach Programme held in Palnadu district, Andhra Pradesh.
The programme was organised by the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) on July 17, 2026, and was attended by Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu.
During the event, Canara Bank extended financial support to beneficiaries across priority sectors, strengthening entrepreneurship, livelihood opportunities, and economic empowerment.
Canara Bank Distributes Loan Sanction Letters to Beneficiaries
Mr. Brajesh Kumar Singh, Managing Director and CEO of Canara Bank, participated in the programme along with other dignitaries and distributed loan sanction letters to eligible beneficiaries.
The initiative reflects the bank’s continued focus on expanding access to institutional credit and supporting individuals, businesses, and communities through responsible banking solutions.

As part of the Credit Outreach Programme, loan assistance amounting to ₹393.17 crore was sanctioned to beneficiaries across various priority sectors.
The financial support is expected to help:

- Generate employment and livelihood opportunities
- Support small businesses and economic activities
- Strengthen financial inclusion among underserved communities

Canara Bank Extends CSR Support for Community Welfare
Along with credit support, Canara Bank also provided Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance of ₹36.85 lakh for community welfare initiatives.

The assistance will contribute towards improving community development and supporting welfare-oriented initiatives.
