The portals were formally launched by CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh at the Manthan Auditorium, CCL Headquarters, Ranchi. The initiative is aimed at making welfare services more accessible, transparent, efficient and technology-driven for retired employees and dependents of employees who passed away during service.

CPRMSE/NE 2.0 Portal to Digitise Medical Claims
The CPRMSE/NE 2.0 Portal is designed to transform the medical claim process for CCL’s ex-employees from a largely physical and file-based system into an end-to-end digital workflow.
Through the portal, retired coal employees will be able to submit medical claims and supporting documents online from their homes.
Key features include:
- Online submission of medical claims
- Digital submission of supporting documents
- Online tracking of claim status
- Digital response to observations
- Electronic movement of claims between departments
- Digital record management
- Audit trails
- SMS and mobile alerts
The system facilitates the electronic movement of claims among the PRB, CMS/Medical and Finance Departments.
By reducing the need for retired employees to make physical visits to CCL offices, the portal is expected to make the medical reimbursement process more convenient and transparent.
Online Dependent Employment Portal for Bereaved Families
The Online Dependent Employment Portal provides a digital platform for dependents and claimants of employees who have passed away during service.
The portal allows beneficiaries to initiate and track proposals related to employment or monetary compensation online.
It is designed to improve communication with bereaved families by providing information about:
- Case status
- Deficiencies in applications
- Pending actions
- Important stages of processing
- Updates through SMS and email notifications
The online tracking facility is expected to improve transparency and help beneficiaries stay informed about the progress of their cases without having to rely solely on physical communication.

Both Portals Developed Completely In-House
A key feature of the two initiatives is that both platforms have been developed completely in-house by CCL’s System Department.
The department leveraged CCL’s internal technical expertise and human resources while working closely with the respective functional departments. The in-house development reflects CCL’s focus on using its own technological capabilities to modernise internal processes and improve employee welfare services.
CCL Moves Towards Paperless and Transparent Service Delivery
The launch marks a shift from conventional file-driven processes to centrally monitored digital service delivery.
The two portals bring together several technology-enabled features, including online submission, digital processing, status tracking and electronic communication.
The initiatives are expected to:
- Improve accessibility for beneficiaries
- Reduce dependence on physical files
- Strengthen accountability
- Minimise delays
- Enable better case monitoring
- Improve transparency in welfare service delivery
The digital systems are particularly aimed at improving ease of access to welfare services for retired employees and dependents of deceased employees.
CCL Strengthens Digital Transformation in Employee Welfare
The launch of CPRMSE/NE 2.0 and the Online Dependent Employment Portal reinforces CCL’s commitment to paperless governance, digital transformation and citizen-centric service delivery.By shifting important welfare processes online, CCL aims to create a more efficient and transparent system in which beneficiaries can submit applications, track cases and receive updates digitally.
