Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has approved the proposed Madhya Pradesh State Mineral Exploration Policy, 2026, setting a target of increasing annual mineral revenue to ₹13,720 crore by 2026-27 and ₹30,000 crore by 2030-31.
The policy, approved by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, focuses on expanding mineral exploration, encouraging investment and using the mining sector to generate employment and support local development.
“Mineral policies should not only increase revenue but also expand opportunities for employment, investment and local development,” Yadav said.
He also directed officials to develop Singrauli as a model mining district, with District Mineral Foundation (DMF) funds to be utilised for education, healthcare, women and child welfare, agriculture, forests, environmental protection, roads and watershed development.

Yadav said the state’s mineral policies should focus not only on increasing revenue but also on creating employment opportunities, attracting investment and supporting development in mining areas.
SVAMITVA property registration drive
In a separate review, the Chief Minister directed district collectors to prepare for the free registration of residential property ownership records for more than 50 lakh rural residents under the SVAMITVA programme.
The registration campaign is scheduled to run from September 17 to October 3. Village-level camps will be organised as part of the drive, with a target of completing around 30-40 registrations per day at each camp.
