He emphasised that environmental protection is not merely an administrative or social responsibility but a moral obligation towards future generations.

Extending his greetings on the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted the deep and inseparable relationship between nature and human life, stating that the environment forms the foundation of human existence and is closely tied to India’s cultural and traditional values.

He urged citizens across Chhattisgarh to actively participate in conservation efforts and contribute towards building a cleaner, greener, and more prosperous future for coming generations.

The Chief Minister also stressed that environmental challenges can only be addressed effectively through collective public participation and increased awareness.

Call for Collective Action and Public Participation

Appealing for united efforts, CM Sai urged people to renew their commitment towards preserving ecological balance and protecting natural resources.

He said that environmental protection must become a mass movement, driven by individual responsibility and community participation.

Plantation Drives Mark World Environment Day in Raipur

World Environment Day was observed across Raipur with plantation drives organised at multiple locations, including participation from political leaders and party workers.

BJP state president Kiran Dev planted a sapling at his residence office in Devendra Nagar under the theme “One Plant, One Resolve: A Meaningful Step Towards a Greener Future.”

He emphasised that tree plantation is not a symbolic activity but a long-term commitment linked to the health and safety of future generations.

Leaders Stress Sustainable Development

At a separate plantation programme held at the BJP state headquarters, Kushabhau Thakre Parisar, Regional Organisation General Secretary Ajay Jamwal and State Organisation General Secretary Pawan Sai participated in tree plantation activities.

Ajay Jamwal stated that sustainable development is only possible when economic growth and environmental protection progress together. He stressed the importance of balancing development with conservation of natural resources.

Pawan Sai urged citizens to go beyond symbolic observance of Environment Day and take responsibility for nurturing saplings until they grow into healthy trees. He called for long-term commitment towards environmental care rather than one-day activities.

Conclusion

World Environment Day celebrations in Chhattisgarh highlighted a strong message of environmental responsibility, with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai urging citizens to treat nature conservation as a moral duty. Plantation drives and awareness programmes across Raipur reinforced the state’s commitment to sustainable development and ecological balance.
