Raipur: Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday unveiled the Chhattisgarh Police Silver Jubilee Medal at the Police Headquarters in Nava Raipur, marking 25 years of the state police force’s exemplary service. Congratulating police personnel on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the medal would stand as an enduring symbol of the indomitable courage, valour, and supreme sacrifice of the Chhattisgarh Police in safeguarding peace and security across the state.
The conferment of the Silver Jubilee Medal was announced by the Chief Minister on Republic Day, January 26, and the medal was formally unveiled just two days later, reflecting the government’s swift action and commitment to honouring the police force.
Honouring 25 Years of Service and Sacrifice
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that since the formation of Chhattisgarh, the state police force has played a pivotal role in strengthening law and order, particularly in anti-Naxal operations, often operating in extremely challenging and dangerous conditions.
He noted that over the last 25 years, police personnel have displayed exceptional bravery and dedication, making the highest sacrifices in the line of duty. The Silver Jubilee Medal, he said, is a tribute to this unwavering commitment and will serve as a permanent reminder of the force’s contribution to public safety and internal security.
Design Reflects Chhattisgarh’s Culture and Identity
Explaining the design of the medal, the Chief Minister said it embodies the soil, culture, and traditions of Chhattisgarh.
