Raipur: The Chhattisgarh Skill Tech programme was organised with great enthusiasm at a private hotel in the state capital, bringing together government representatives, industry leaders, and senior officials on a common platform to strengthen skill development and employment generation in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb, senior bureaucrats, and representatives from various industries were present at the event.
Focus on Skill Development and Employment
The main objective of the programme was to connect the youth of Chhattisgarh with skill development initiatives, promote self-reliance, and create new employment opportunities through close coordination with industry. During the event, more than 20 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed, which are expected to boost investment and generate large-scale employment in the state.

Chief Minister Highlights Vision for Youth Empowerment
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that the programme, organised jointly by the Industry Department and the Skill Development Department, would prove to be a milestone for the youth of the state. He emphasised that the government is giving special priority to skill development so that young people can be effectively linked to employment. The Chief Minister noted that the PM Setu Yojana would provide significant benefits to the youth and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that Chhattisgarh would play an important role in achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047. He also pointed out that the state’s new industrial policy has received nationwide appreciation, with several investment proposals already received and work underway in multiple sectors.
Government Commitment to Skill Development
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb said that such programmes are essential for making youth self-reliant. He stated that the Chhattisgarh government is continuously working to strengthen skill development initiatives across the state. Under the PM Setu Yojana launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, youth are being provided with structured training to enhance their employability. He stressed the need for industrial support to help young people move forward and take full advantage of emerging job opportunities.

Industry Policy to Drive Jobs and Investment
Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan said that the PM Setu Yojana would directly benefit the people of Chhattisgarh by providing better training and skill enhancement to youth. He added that industries would also benefit from the availability of skilled manpower. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government is focusing on generating maximum employment opportunities through its new industrial policy. He said the Chhattisgarh Skill Tech programme reflects the government’s commitment to job-oriented development.
₹13,000 Crore MoUs Signed, 12,000 Jobs Expected
During the programme, MoUs worth over ₹13,000 crore were signed with reputed institutions and industry partners. These investment proposals are expected to create employment opportunities for more than 12,000 youths in the state. Several prominent industrialists, cabinet ministers, and senior officials attended the event, highlighting strong collaboration between the government and industry to build a skilled and future-ready workforce in Chhattisgarh.
