Raigarh (Chhattisgarh): On the occasion of Utkal Diwas, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated as the chief guest at the annual Sneh Sammelan (annual function). During the event, the much-awaited community magazine ‘Suvidha’ was officially launched, and the Chief Minister announced a grant of ₹5 lakh for the organization of the Jagannath Rath Yatra in Raigarh.
Festive Program Commences with Traditional Rituals
The celebrations began with the lighting of lamps in front of the Mahaprabhu Jagannath Swami idol, followed by the melodious rendition of the patriotic song ‘Vande Utkal Janani’. A large gathering of community members attended the event, creating a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere throughout the function.

In his speech, CM Vishnu Deo Sai expressed that he was not visiting as a mere guest but felt at home among his people. He stated that the people of Raigarh had blessed him as a Member of Parliament for 20 years, and he continues to receive the same affection and support today.
Highlighting the significance of Utkal Diwas, he extended greetings and best wishes to everyone present and performed puja and darshan of Lord Jagannath, praying for the prosperity and development of Chhattisgarh.
