Dehradun: In a major administrative outreach initiative, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the ‘Seva, Su-shasan aur Samarpan – Jan-Jan ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan ke Dwar’ (Seva Pakhwada) program at the IDPL area in Rishikesh. The initiative aims to strengthen citizen-centric governance and improve delivery of public services across the state.
The Chief Minister stated that the government is actively working toward making Uttarakhand a developed state by 2035.
Vision of Developed Uttarakhand by 2035
CM Dhami emphasized that the long-term vision of the government is to transform Uttarakhand into a fully developed state by 2035. He said continuous efforts are being made to improve infrastructure, governance efficiency, and public welfare delivery systems.
Political Remarks Target Opposition
During his address, the Chief Minister also took a political stance, criticizing opposition parties. He stated that those questioning the government’s work are the same groups that did not carry out meaningful development when they were in power.
He highlighted the achievements of the state government over the last five years, asserting that development has accelerated under the current administration.
Public Welfare Through ‘Seva Pakhwada’
The launch of Seva Pakhwada coincides with the completion of five years of CM Dhami’s tenure. Under the campaign slogan “Jan-Jan ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan ke Dwar,” the government aims to reach citizens directly and resolve their issues at the grassroots level.
The initiative focuses on ensuring that government schemes reach every eligible beneficiary efficiently and transparently.
Multi-Departmental Camps for Public Services
As part of the program, multi-purpose service camps were organized offering benefits and services across various departments including health, Ayushman Bharat, pension, revenue, social welfare, agriculture, and self-employment schemes.
The government announced that a special two-week campaign will be conducted to connect persons with disabilities, senior citizens, women, farmers, youth, and economically weaker families with government welfare schemes.
Dignitaries Present at the Event
The launch event was attended by several prominent leaders and officials, including Governor Gurmit Singh, BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta, former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, and cabinet ministers Rekha Arya, Khajan Das, Bharat Chaudhary, and Dhan Singh Rawat.
MLA Premchand Aggarwal and other senior leaders were also present at the event.
Strengthening Grassroots Governance
The Seva Pakhwada initiative marks a significant step in the Uttarakhand government’s efforts to enhance direct public engagement and improve service delivery. With a focus on inclusive welfare and administrative transparency, the campaign aims to bring governance closer to citizens across the state.
