CM Mohan Yadav Announces Pal-Gadariya Board on Devi Ahilyabai Holkar’s 231st Death Anniversary

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that the state government will soon constitute a Pal-Gadariya Samaj Board to ensure adequate representation and support for members of the community.

The announcement was made during a Punya Smriti Samaroh organised at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal on August 13 to mark the 231st death anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar.

CM Mohan Yadav Pays Tribute to Devi Ahilyabai Holkar

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the memorial programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp and paid floral tribute to Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar.

He also extended greetings to the people of Madhya Pradesh on the 231st Punya Smriti Diwas of the revered ruler.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister described Ahilyabai Holkar as a prominent ruler of Malwa whose contribution brought pride to Madhya Pradesh and the country.

He said she established strong examples of good governance during her reign.

Madhya Pradesh Government to Form Pal-Gadariya Board

During the programme, CM Mohan Yadav announced that the state government will soon establish a Pal-Gadariya Samaj Board.

According to the Chief Minister, the board will help provide appropriate representation to members of the community and work towards their welfare.

He said the state government remains committed to addressing the concerns and welfare needs of the Gadariya community.

The announcement was made as part of the government’s broader focus on social inclusion and equitable development.

Government Focuses on ‘Samattva’

CM Mohan Yadav said the state government is working on the principle of Samattva (equality and balanced development) under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He highlighted the government’s commitment to the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.”

The Chief Minister also said that the Pal-Gadariya community is traditionally associated with the lineage of Gopal Krishna and emphasised the government’s commitment to their welfare.

Focus on Dairy Farming and Animal Husbandry

The Chief Minister said the state government is encouraging milk production and animal husbandry to strengthen the economic prosperity of Madhya Pradesh.

According to him, promoting these activities can create economic opportunities while supporting the livelihoods of communities associated with animal husbandry.

The government’s focus is also aimed at improving economic opportunities alongside social representation.

Ahilyabai Holkar’s Legacy of Good Governance Highlighted

CM Mohan Yadav highlighted various aspects of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar’s life, including her service, dedication, justice and sacrifice.

He said her legacy continues to inspire the state government’s approach towards:

  • Good governance
  • Public service
  • Women’s empowerment
  • Cultural revival
  • Inclusive development

The Chief Minister also recalled that the state government had held a Cabinet meeting at Rajwada to commemorate Devi Ahilyabai Holkar and honour her contribution.

Government Emphasises Inclusive Development

The announcement of the Pal-Gadariya Board comes alongside the Madhya Pradesh government’s stated focus on ensuring representation and welfare for different sections of society.

The proposed board is expected to provide an institutional platform for addressing issues related to the Pal-Gadariya community and supporting its welfare and development.
