Ahmedabad Investment Meet: MP Secures ₹8,635 Crore Proposals, CM Mohan Yadav Invites Gujarat Investors

Bhopal/Ahmedabad: Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth ₹8,635 crore, with the projects expected to generate more than 5,785 employment opportunities, during an investment dialogue held in Ahmedabad.

More than 500 industrialists, investors and corporate representatives from Ahmedabad, Surat, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Vadodara and other major industrial centres of Gujarat participated in the Mega Investment Dialogue on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the investors and highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s industrial infrastructure, investment-friendly policies, connectivity, availability of land, power and water, and opportunities across multiple sectors.

CM Mohan Yadav Invites Gujarat Investors to Invest in MP

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said Madhya Pradesh offers significant opportunities for establishing new industries, expanding existing businesses and extending operations.

He assured investors that the state government would provide the necessary facilities, security and support to businesses investing in Madhya Pradesh.

Yadav also invited Gujarat’s industrial community to participate in the proposed Global Investors Summit 2027 in Bhopal.

He highlighted the complementary strengths of the two states, saying Gujarat brings strong industrial experience, technology and business expertise, while Madhya Pradesh offers land, water resources and a central location with logistical advantages.

MP Offers Land, Power, Water and Connectivity to Investors

The Chief Minister said investors in Madhya Pradesh do not need to worry about the availability of basic industrial requirements.

Key advantages highlighted by the state government include:

  • Industrial land available on lease at concessional rates
  • Adequate water resources and water banks
  • Surplus electricity availability
  • Development of plug-and-play industrial zones
  • More than 19,000 acres being used to develop 48 new industrial parks
  • More than 5 lakh km of road network
  • Strong railway connectivity
  • 8 airports
  • 6 inland container depots
  • Expressways and highways
  • Availability of trained and skilled workforce

Yadav also highlighted the state’s single-window system, describing it as a digital platform aimed at resolving investor issues and providing faster services.

₹8,635 Crore Investment Proposals Across Multiple Sectors

The investment proposals received during the Ahmedabad dialogue cover a wide range of industries, including cement, packaging, food processing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, engineering, chemicals, aerospace and defence.

The major proposals include:

  • Goldcrest: ₹3,000 crore investment in the cement sector, expected to create 1,500 jobs.
  • Agios Polyfilms Pvt. Ltd.: ₹2,500 crore investment in packaging, creating around 1,000 jobs.
  • Gujarat Ambuja Exports Ltd.: ₹1,200 crore investment in food processing, generating 500 jobs.
  • Eris Lifesciences Ltd.: ₹500 crore investment in pharmaceuticals, creating 800 jobs.
  • Raghav Woven LLP: ₹250 crore investment in textiles, generating 400 jobs.
  • Bhavya Machine Tools: ₹250 crore investment in engineering, creating 300 jobs.
  • Jay Chemical Industries Pvt. Ltd.: ₹200 crore investment in chemicals, generating 100 jobs.
  • Balaji Multiflex Pvt. Ltd.: ₹200 crore investment in packaging, creating 100 jobs.
  • Shraddha Spun Pvt. Ltd.: ₹160 crore investment in textiles, expected to create 600 jobs.
  • Inner Engineering Products & Systems Pvt. Ltd.: ₹150 crore investment, creating 160 jobs.
  • Optimized Group: ₹100 crore investment in aerospace and defence, generating 120 jobs.
  • JMK Food: ₹50 crore investment in food processing, creating 80 jobs.
  • Vibfast Group: ₹50 crore investment in chemicals, generating 75 jobs.
  • Arunaya Organics Ltd.: ₹25 crore investment in chemicals, creating 50 jobs.

Total: ₹8,635 crore in proposed investment and 5,785 employment opportunities. 

One-to-One Meetings Held with Major Industry Groups

During the Ahmedabad investment dialogue, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also held more than 15 one-to-one meetings with leading industry groups.

Discussions focused on investment proposals, industrial expansion and opportunities available in Madhya Pradesh.

Among the key discussions was a proposed ₹1,200 crore investment by Arvind Limited in the PM MITRA Park. Discussions also covered incentives available for the textile and garment sectors and the development of environment-friendly industrial infrastructure.

With Torrent Power Limited, discussions were held on the proposed 1,600 MW thermal power project in Anuppur, long-term energy security, additional power generation capacity and future investment opportunities in the energy sector.

Other companies and groups that participated in investment discussions included Chirpal Group, Goldcrest Cement, Gujarat Ambuja, Agios Polyfilms and Eris Lifesciences, among others.

MP and Gujarat Have Strong Industrial Partnership Potential

Yadav described Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat as “twin brothers” with complementary industrial strengths.

According to the Chief Minister, Gujarat has expertise in technology, trade and industry, while Madhya Pradesh offers abundant water resources, a large land bank and a central geographical location.

He highlighted opportunities for Gujarat-based companies in sectors such as:

  • Petrochemicals
  • Chemicals
  • Textiles
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Food processing
  • Automobiles
  • Energy

The Chief Minister pointed to the Bina petrochemical refinery, Medical Device Park in Ujjain, PM MITRA Park in Dhar and the established automobile ecosystem in Pithampur as examples of investment opportunities in the state.

MP Receives ₹34 Lakh Crore Investment Proposals in 2.5 Years

According to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth more than ₹34 lakh crore over the past two and a half years.

Of these, investment worth more than ₹10 lakh crore has already moved to the ground, according to the state government.

The state has also received around ₹7.19 lakh crore in investments in renewable energy, pumped hydro and biomass sectors, supported by sector-specific policies.

New Industrial Parks and Sector-Based Clusters Planned

Additional Chief Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Neeraj Mandloi, highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s industrial infrastructure and investment policies.

He said the state has a land bank of more than 1 lakh acres available for industrial development.

The government is also working on eight dedicated industrial parks, including:

  • Footwear Park in Morena
  • Medical Device Park in Ujjain
  • Plastic Park in Raisen

New industrial parks are also being developed in Bhopal, Jabalpur and Ujjain.

The state is developing sector-specific clusters and has announced plans for a Telecom Manufacturing Zone in Gwalior with support from the central government.

IT, Semiconductor and Space Technology Opportunities

Principal Secretary, Science and Technology, M. Selvendra, highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s growing opportunities in technology-related sectors.

He said cities such as Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur offer comparatively affordable infrastructure and living costs.

He highlighted the presence of TCS in Indore, where more than 16,000 employees work, and said Infosys is also planning expansion in the state.

The government is working on a Space Tech Park and developing drone manufacturing infrastructure and a green zone for drone testing in Bhopal.

Under its Space Tech Policy, Madhya Pradesh offers 40% to 60% capital subsidy, while the state’s semiconductor policy has also received strong interest from industry.

Tourism and Food Processing Emerging as Key Investment Areas

Madhya Pradesh is also positioning tourism and food processing as major growth sectors.

The state has strong opportunities in wildlife, religious and heritage tourism, with destinations such as Ujjain, Chitrakoot, Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Pench, Khajuraho, Mandu and Sanchi.

Industry representatives highlighted the growing tourism potential of Madhya Pradesh and the scope for investment in hospitality and related businesses.

The state is also a major agricultural producer, including being the largest wheat-producing state and the third-largest milk-producing state, providing a strong raw-material base for food processing industries.

Gujarat Investors Share Positive Experience of Investing in MP

Chintan Thakkar of Welspun Transformation Services Limited shared his company’s experience of investing in Madhya Pradesh.

He said the company entered Madhya Pradesh in 2011 and established a unit on the Dewas-Bhopal Road for manufacturing water pipes.

According to him, the company received all necessary approvals for establishing the industry within 12 months, reflecting the state’s investment facilitation system.

Achal Bakeri, CMD of Symphony Limited and Chairman of the CII Gujarat State Council, also highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s tourism, renewable energy and investment potential.

He said the state’s transparent policies, investor-friendly environment and industrial opportunities are attracting Gujarat-based investors.

Global Investors Summit 2027 to Provide Further Investment Opportunities

The Madhya Pradesh government is preparing to host the Global Investors Summit 2027 in Bhopal, with the event scheduled for January-February 2027 according to the information shared during the investment dialogue.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav invited Gujarat’s industrialists and investors to participate in the summit and explore opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.

The Ahmedabad investment dialogue is expected to further strengthen the economic and industrial partnership between Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat while creating a pipeline of new investments and employment opportunities.
