Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav reached Rewa from New Delhi and reviewed heavy rainfall and relief operations across the Rewa, Shahdol and Jabalpur divisions. He also inspected waterlogged areas in Gulab Nagar, Rewa.
Relief Camps and Health Measures
CM Yadav directed officials to ensure adequate food, drinking water and medical facilities at relief camps. Families whose houses or essential belongings were damaged will receive assistance under RBC 6(4) as per applicable provisions.
Officials were also asked to chlorinate water sources and hand pumps and organise special medical camps in flood-affected villages and urban wards. The Chief Minister stressed monitoring cases of fever, cold and cough to prevent disease outbreaks.

Crop and Livestock Support
The Chief Minister ordered immediate crop-damage surveys and directed officials to provide seeds and other support where crops were damaged during the early sowing stage.
Veterinary teams will be deployed in affected areas, while proper disposal of dead animals and adequate fodder, food and water for livestock will be ensured.
Officials Asked to Stay in the Field
Revenue, rural development, health, agriculture and animal husbandry officials were directed to remain active in affected areas. Urban local bodies and villages have also been asked to launch special cleanliness drives.
The administration has been instructed to maintain vigilance between August 24 and 27, when another rainfall cycle may affect some districts.
CM Yadav said the state has received around 20% less rainfall than normal so far this year and asked the Agriculture Department to promote crops that require less water while guiding farmers on suitable options.
