CM Dhami Reviews Public Issues in Sahaspur, Reaffirms Commitment to Doorstep Governance in Uttarakhand

Over 700 Public Service Camps Held Across State in 65 Days; CM Directs Officials for Time-Bound Resolution of Citizen Grievances

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated as the chief guest in the “Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar” public service camp organised under the Seva, Sushasan and Samarpan programme at Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Sahaspur.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dhami said that the state government’s objective is to bring governance and administration closer to citizens and ensure that people receive government services at their doorstep without having to visit offices repeatedly.

He reiterated that “Developed Uttarakhand for a Developed India” is the government’s commitment and that continuous efforts are being made to achieve this vision.

Government Working Towards Citizen-Centric Governance: CM Dhami

Chief Minister Dhami said that the Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar campaign has strengthened public confidence in the government by making administration more accessible and responsive.

He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is moving towards new milestones of development.

According to the Chief Minister, significant progress has been achieved in sectors including:

  • Roads and connectivity
  • Healthcare
  • Education
  • Drinking water facilities
  • Tourism
  • Industry and investment
  • Air connectivity

He added that the state government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of development and welfare schemes reach every citizen.

Uttarakhand Emerging as a Hub for Investment, Tourism and Development

CM Dhami highlighted that Uttarakhand has hosted several historic events, including the first-ever G20 meeting in the state, National Games, Winter Yatra and Global Investors Summit.

He said these initiatives have helped strengthen the state economy, while sectors such as investment, industries, startups and tourism are giving Uttarakhand a new identity.

The Chief Minister said that the state is progressing rapidly towards fulfilling the vision of making Uttarakhand a developed state.

Major Reforms Introduced for Social Justice and Youth Welfare

Speaking about government initiatives, CM Dhami said Uttarakhand has implemented the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) as a historic step towards social justice.

He also highlighted the implementation of the country’s strictest anti-copying law to protect the interests of youth.

Under transparent recruitment processes, more than 34,000 youths have received appointments in government services, he said.

The Chief Minister also stated that the government follows a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and strict action is being taken against those involved in wrongdoing.

Development Works Accelerated in Sahaspur Assembly Constituency

CM Dhami said that several important development projects have been completed in Sahaspur assembly constituency in areas including:

  • Healthcare
  • Drinking water
  • Education
  • Roads
  • Irrigation
  • Flood protection
  • Agriculture

He said that providing effective governance and public welfare benefits to every citizen remains the top priority of the state government.

The Chief Minister emphasised that in a democracy, citizens are supreme, and the true meaning of good governance is a sensitive, accountable and people-focused administration.

Around 700 Jan Seva Camps Held Across Uttarakhand in 65 Days

The Chief Minister informed that during the first phase of the campaign, around 700 Jan Seva Camps were organised across Uttarakhand within 65 days.

More than five lakh people participated in these camps and received assistance related to various government services and schemes.

In Dehradun district alone:

  • 46 camps were organised
  • More than 60,000 citizens participated
  • Around 39,000 people received benefits from government schemes and services on the spot

CM Dhami Hears Public Grievances and Gives Time-Bound Instructions

During the camp, Chief Minister Dhami personally listened to public complaints and directed officials to resolve issues within a fixed timeline.

Several important demands were presented before the Chief Minister, including:

Solar Lights in Karbari Grant

Resident Suman Baskandi submitted a request for installation of 30 solar lights in Sai Lok Colony, Karbari Grant.

CM Dhami directed the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) to complete the installation within two months.

Sewing Machine Support for Women Empowerment

Local resident Babli Gupta requested a sewing machine for making jute bags.

The Chief Minister immediately instructed officials to provide the sewing machine to support her livelihood initiative.

Infrastructure Development in Selakui

Selakui councillor Anil Nautiyal raised issues related to:

  • Internal roads
  • Drainage systems
  • Water management
  • Interlocking CC roads
  • Other local development works

The Chief Minister directed the Urban Development Directorate to take immediate action.

CM Directs Action on Health, Public Facilities and Community Projects

Several other public demands were also addressed during the camp.

Key directions issued by CM Dhami include:

  • Providing assistance to Gokul Foundation Charitable Trust
  • Construction of a cremation ground near Bhauwala Bridge within two months through MDDA
  • Resolving settlement-related issues in Atakfarm and Central Hope Town within 15 days through the Revenue Department
  • Taking action on the demand for a park and open gym in the name of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee at Bhagwanpur Bahuguna Marg
  • Providing a dispensary and ambulance facility in Barowala village within one month through the Health Department

The programme was attended by several dignitaries and senior officials, including:

  • Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal
  • MLA Sahaspur Sahdev Singh Pundir
  • District officials and administrative representatives
  • District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan
  • Senior Superintendent of Police Premendra Doval
  • Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah
  • Additional Secretary to Chief Minister Banshidhar Tiwari
  • Other public representatives and officials

CM Dhami Reaffirms Commitment to Good Governance

Through the Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar campaign, the Uttarakhand government aims to make public services more accessible, transparent and citizen-friendly.

The initiative reflects the state government’s focus on strengthening grassroots governance and ensuring that development reaches every section of society.
