Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Approves ₹99 Crore for Development Projects Across State

Funds Allocated for Golden Card Scheme, Roads, Infrastructure, Healthcare and Public Facilities in Multiple Districts

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions worth ₹99 crore for various development schemes and construction projects across the state. The approved funds will support healthcare services, infrastructure development, road connectivity, public facilities and other key projects in different districts of Uttarakhand.

The major allocation includes ₹75 crore for the smooth operation of the State Health Authority’s Golden Card scheme and payment of pending dues, along with funds for several infrastructure and public utility projects.

₹75 Crore Approved for Golden Card Scheme Under State Health Authority

The Chief Minister has approved ₹75 crore from the state budget for the uninterrupted functioning of the Golden Card scheme managed by the State Health Authority.

The funds will be used for clearing pending payments and ensuring continued healthcare benefits for beneficiaries under the scheme.

₹16.24 Crore Sanctioned for Infrastructure Projects in Nainital, Dehradun and Haridwar

CM Dhami has approved ₹16.24 crore for multiple infrastructure-related works, including:

  • ₹3.68 crore for automation of the Automated Driving Test Track in Ramnagar, Nainital.
  • ₹38.06 lakh for repair, maintenance, painting, tiling, paneling and electrification work of the non-residential Treasury Building in Rudraprayag.
  • ₹2.73 crore for construction of a 150 KLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and site development at the Police Communication Training Centre, Dhorankhas, Dehradun.
  • ₹9.45 crore for establishing a Fire Station in the Bahadrabad Industrial Area.

These projects aim to improve public infrastructure, administrative facilities and emergency response systems.

Funds Approved for Road Connectivity and Public Facilities in Champawat and Pithoragarh

The Chief Minister has approved several projects aimed at improving connectivity and public amenities in different assembly constituencies.

For Champawat, ₹5 crore has been sanctioned for installing street lights along the pilgrimage route from Kakrali Tankpur to Maa Purnagiri Dham, with the first installment of ₹2 crore released.

In Pithoragarh’s Didihat assembly constituency, ₹70.87 lakh has been approved for construction of an internal connecting road at Lohargaon, with the first installment of ₹42.52 lakh sanctioned.

Development Projects Approved for Education, Tourism and Community Facilities

Several projects focusing on education, tourism promotion and community infrastructure have received financial approval.

Key allocations include:

  • ₹99.44 lakh for construction of an open gym for students at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Latauli, Champawat. The first installment of ₹59.66 lakh has been approved.
  • ₹85.74 lakh for developing the road from Janki Bridge to Chaurasi Kutiya in Yamkeshwar, Pauri Garhwal, as Beatles Street. The first installment of ₹51.44 lakh has been sanctioned.
  • ₹81.43 lakh for construction of a pedestrian path from Uchchaidi Nanda Temple to Kholi Ban in Dharchula, Pithoragarh. The first installment of ₹48.85 lakh has been approved.

Funds Released for Temple Beautification and Electricity Infrastructure

The state government has also approved funds for religious tourism and power infrastructure development.

Major approvals include:

  • ₹75 lakh for beautification of Shiv Temple at Dungri Fartyal village in Lohaghat assembly constituency, Champawat. The first installment of ₹45 lakh has been released.
  • ₹5 crore for setting up an electricity sub-station in the Sarayu Valley and Shama region of Kapkot assembly constituency, Bageshwar. The first installment of ₹2 crore has been approved.
  • ₹19.68 lakh for interlocking tile work at Sela Gaon near Maa Purnagiri Dham, Champawat.

₹87.95 Lakh Approved for Dharamshalas in Nainital District

For improving facilities for visitors and local communities, CM Dhami has approved ₹87.95 lakh for construction of two dharamshalas.

The projects include:

  • Dharamshala at Kaidakot Bug site in Kaidagaon Gram Sabha, Bhimtal assembly constituency.
  • Dharamshala at Mounibag Ashram in Dhari area, Nainital.

The first installment of ₹52.77 lakh has been sanctioned for these works.

₹1.37 Crore Approved for Rural Roads and Bridge Construction

Under the Rural Works Department, the Chief Minister has approved the first installment of ₹1.37 crore (₹137.60 lakh) for construction and improvement of various roads and track bridges under state schemes, Chief Minister announcements and NABARD-supported projects.

The approved works include:

  • ₹47.03 lakh for construction of a pedestrian bridge in Bagad Gadhera of Scheduled Caste settlement in Gokhmalla Gram Panchayat, Nandanagar block, Chamoli.
  • ₹43.36 lakh for surface renewal and improvement work on the Van-Bharan village road under the Mundoli-Van motor road in Deval.
  • ₹47.21 lakh for construction of a 30-metre span steel truss pedestrian bridge over the Sated (Khasan) river near Bansari village in Sila Gram Panchayat, Yamkeshwar block, Pauri Garhwal.

Uttarakhand Government Focuses on Balanced Development

The latest financial approvals reflect the Uttarakhand government’s focus on strengthening healthcare services, improving infrastructure, enhancing connectivity and promoting tourism and community development across the state.

Through these projects, the government aims to improve public facilities, support regional growth and accelerate development in both urban and rural areas of Uttarakhand.
