Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has launched the 15-day “Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar” (Government to Every Doorstep) campaign with the objective of ensuring that citizens receive government services and grievance redressal without having to visit government offices.

The statewide campaign, which began on July 4, is focused on taking governance directly to people’s homes and communities. Through special camps organized at the district, block, and tehsil levels, government officials and public representatives are resolving public grievances on the spot while providing access to several welfare schemes.

According to the Chief Minister, the initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to making governance more accessible, transparent, and citizen-centric.

Thousands Benefit in the First Three Days

The campaign has received a strong public response, with thousands of residents benefiting within the first three days of its launch.

Under the directions of Chief Minister Dhami, dedicated camps have been established across Uttarakhand where officials from multiple government departments are working together to address citizens’ concerns immediately.

The initiative aims to reduce delays in service delivery by ensuring that government representatives reach people instead of requiring citizens to travel to administrative offices.

Welfare Services Being Delivered at Special Camps

A wide range of government services are being provided during the campaign, including:

  • Social Welfare Pension assistance
  • Ayushman Bharat Health Cards
  • Revenue department certificates
  • Distribution of agricultural equipment
  • Seed distribution for farmers
  • Health check-ups
  • Essential medical devices based on medical assessments

The integrated service model allows eligible beneficiaries to access multiple government schemes at a single location, making the process more convenient and efficient.

Immediate Action on Local Infrastructure Issues

Apart from welfare benefits, the campaign is also addressing local civic issues.

Officials from concerned departments are taking prompt action on complaints related to:

  • Road infrastructure
  • Electricity supply
  • Drinking water facilities
  • Other local development and public service issues

The government says the objective is to ensure faster resolution of everyday problems affecting residents across the state.

CM Dhami: Citizens Should Not Have to Visit Government Offices Repeatedly

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized that the government’s primary goal is to eliminate the need for citizens to make repeated visits to government offices for basic services.

He said departmental officials have been instructed to proactively reach people, listen to their concerns, and resolve grievances quickly at their doorstep.

According to the Chief Minister, this citizen-focused governance model strengthens public trust while improving administrative efficiency.

Previous Campaign Benefited Over 5.33 Lakh Citizens

The current initiative builds on the success of the previous “Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar” campaign conducted in December last year.

During the 45-day campaign, the Uttarakhand government organized 681 public service camps across the state.

Key achievements of the previous campaign include:

  • More than 5.33 lakh citizens participated.
  • Around 33,000 public grievances were resolved promptly.
  • Citizens received benefits from various government welfare schemes at a single location.

The campaign was widely appreciated as an effective model of good governance and public service delivery.

Government Committed to Simplification, Solutions, and Citizen Satisfaction

Reiterating the government’s vision, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the administration remains committed to the principles of “Simplification, Solution, and Satisfaction.”

The government aims to make public services more accessible by ensuring that eligible citizens receive welfare benefits without unnecessary administrative hurdles.

Through the “Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar” campaign, Uttarakhand is working to strengthen last-mile governance, improve service delivery, and provide faster solutions to public grievances while bringing government services directly to people’s doorsteps.
