Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has completed 15,98,046 registrations under the SVAMITVA Scheme, aimed at providing legal ownership rights to rural families over their residential land and houses. The initiative is helping rural residents obtain official property ownership records, which can be used to access bank loans and other financial facilities.
The scheme is being implemented to strengthen the economic position of rural households by providing them with legal documents for their residential properties. These records will enable beneficiaries to use their property as an asset and access financial assistance from banks and other institutions.
Under the scheme, eligible houses and plots located on rural abadi land are being registered free of cost. The state government is using digital platforms such as the ‘SAARA’ app and ‘SAMPADA 2.0’ to make the registration and verification processes simpler, transparent and accessible.
These digital tools have streamlined property record management, on-site verification and registration. They are also helping rural residents obtain property-related documents and reducing the possibility of land-related disputes.

How the SVAMITVA Scheme Benefits Rural Families
The SVAMITVA Scheme aims to provide legal ownership documents for eligible residential properties in rural areas. These records give families formal recognition of their property rights and make it easier for them to access bank loans and other financial services.
Free registration, digital verification and improved property record management are among the key features of the initiative. The scheme is also expected to help reduce property-related disputes and strengthen the financial security of rural households.
