MP CM Yadav to Open Regional Tourism Conclave in Rewa, Spotlight on Vindhya’s Tourism Potential

Bhopal: Aiming to unlock the untapped tourism potential of the Vindhya region, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the Regional Tourism Conclave in Rewa on Saturday, July 26, at the Krishna Raj Kapoor Auditorium. The two-day conclave will focus on promoting tourism investment, building industry partnerships, and offering new economic opportunities in Madhya Pradesh’s vibrant tourism ecosystem.

The event is being organized by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board as part of a series of tourism-focused initiatives leading up to the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart in Bhopal this October.

Top Dignitaries, Celebrities to Grace the Conclave

The conclave will be attended by Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, and Tourism, Culture, and Religious Trusts Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi. Bollywood actor Mukesh Tiwari and Panchayat web series fame actress Sanvika Singh will also mark their special presence.

Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture Shiv Shekhar Shukla, who also serves as the MD of MP Tourism Board, confirmed that top investors from the hospitality sector will be honored during the conclave.

Key Digital Launches and MoU Signings

The conclave will serve as a launchpad for a series of major digital and infrastructural initiatives:

  • Launch of PM Paryatan Air Service Booking Portal on the IRCTC platform
  • Inauguration of the Homestay Online Booking Portal
  • MoU signing with MakeMyTrip to enhance tourism promotion
  • Virtual foundation stone laying of the Spiritual Experience Project at Chitrakoot Ghat
  • Inauguration of a Tourist Facilitation Centre (FCI) in Shahdol
  • Additional contracts will be signed with:
  • Influencer marketing agencies M/s Barcode Experiential and M/s Qyuki Digital
  • Agencies to set up Art and Craft Centres in Mandla, Dindori, Singrauli, Sidhi, and Seoni

Sessions to Explore Heritage, Wildlife, and Investment Opportunities

Multiple knowledge sessions will spotlight the tourism potential in MP:

  • “From Forest Paths to Heritage Stories: Tourism Renaissance of Rewa”
  • “Creating a Holistic Tourism Experience in Madhya Pradesh”
  • “Opportunities for Investment Promotion in Tourism, Film, and Hospitality Sectors”

These sessions will feature interactive dialogues between tour operators, hoteliers, tourism investors, and government representatives, providing a platform to explore investment, development, and marketing strategies.

Cultural Showcase and Tourism Exhibition

A special tourism exhibition will be a key attraction, showcasing:

  • Major tourist destinations
  • Hospitality brands, homestays, and resorts
  • Adventure tourism activities
  • Handloom and handicraft items
  • Cultural and heritage experiences unique to Madhya Pradesh

Colorful cultural performances and folk shows will enhance the event’s vibrancy, offering guests a taste of the region’s rich artistic and cultural legacy.

FAM Tour to Promote Rewa’s Tourism Potential

To conclude the conclave, a Familiarization Tour (FAM Tour) will be organized for selected guests and tourism professionals. This guided experience will provide first-hand exposure to the tourism assets in Rewa and its surrounding areas, enabling stakeholders to better understand its potential for investment and marketing.

Part of Statewide Tourism Development Series

This conclave is part of a statewide series. After Rewa, similar Regional Tourism Conclaves are scheduled for Gwalior in August and Indore in September, building momentum ahead of the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart.
