CM Yogi Adityanath Inaugurates ₹658 Crore Development Projects in Firozabad, Boosts Infrastructure and Welfare Push

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister lays foundation for 81 projects in Tundla and Shikohabad, distributes 568 PM Awas keys and highlights industrial, ODOP and law & order achievements.

Firozabad: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹658 crore in Firozabad district during a major public programme held in the Tundla Assembly constituency.

The event also included the distribution of keys to 568 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, marking a significant push toward housing and infrastructure development in the region.

₹658 Crore Development Push for Firozabad

During the programme held near Usayni village in Tundla, the Chief Minister unveiled a total of 81 development projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure across the region.

  • Total projects value: ₹658+ crore
  • Tundla Assembly constituency projects: ₹452 crore
  • Shikohabad Assembly constituency projects: ₹206 crore

He stated that the expansion of development works in other constituencies would further increase the investment in the district in the coming years.

PM Awas Yojana Benefits for 568 Families

As part of the event, the Chief Minister distributed keys to 568 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, emphasizing the government’s commitment to providing housing for economically weaker sections.

He said that both the central and state governments are working to ensure transparent delivery of welfare schemes so that eligible beneficiaries directly receive benefits without delays.

Focus on Firozabad’s Glass Industry and “Vocal for Local”

Firozabad, widely known as India’s glass city, received special mention for its traditional glass manufacturing industry.

The Chief Minister highlighted:

  • Strong global identity of Firozabad’s artisans
  • Growth in local production of decorative and religious items
  • Reduced dependence on imported goods, especially from China
  • Strengthening of the “Vocal for Local” and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives

He praised local artisans for adapting modern technology and improving product quality for both domestic and international markets.

Industrial Growth and Improved Investment Climate in Uttar Pradesh

The Chief Minister claimed that Uttar Pradesh has undergone major industrial transformation since 2017.

Key highlights:

  • Improved electricity and gas supply for industries
  • Better infrastructure and ease of doing business
  • Rising investment inflows across sectors
  • Growth of MSMEs and local industries

He added that Uttar Pradesh has now become one of the most preferred investment destinations in India.

“One District One Product” and Healthcare Expansion

The government’s flagship One District One Product (ODOP) scheme was also highlighted during the address.

  • Promotion of district-specific traditional products
  • Expansion of local employment opportunities
  • Strengthening of export potential for regional goods

He also mentioned the One District One Medical College initiative aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure across the state.

Law and Order: Government’s Strong Stand on Crime

Yogi Adityanath reiterated that the state has witnessed significant improvement in law and order conditions.

He stated:

  • Reduction in organized crime and mafia influence
  • Improved safety for citizens and investors
  • Uttar Pradesh becoming “riot-free and curfew-free”

He contrasted the current situation with earlier governments, claiming that improved security has boosted economic development and investor confidence.

Welfare Schemes Benefiting Crores of People

The Chief Minister also highlighted the scale of welfare delivery in the state:

  • Over 15 crore people receiving free ration benefits
  • Around 10 crore beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat health scheme
  • Over 65 lakh families provided housing
  • More than 2 crore households covered under Ujjwala Yojana for free LPG connections

He also mentioned continued support for farmers through financial assistance and agricultural development schemes.

Cultural and Tourism Development in Uttar Pradesh

The Chief Minister emphasized the state’s growing role in religious tourism and cultural preservation.

He cited major projects such as:

  • Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple development in Ayodhya
  • Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi
  • Expansion of Mathura-Vrindavan religious infrastructure

He said these initiatives are generating employment and strengthening the local economy through tourism.

Firozabad Set for Transformational Growth

The Chief Minister concluded that the new projects will significantly improve infrastructure, employment opportunities, and economic activity in Firozabad.

He reaffirmed that the government’s goal is to ensure development reaches every district and citizen of Uttar Pradesh through sustained investment, welfare delivery, and industrial expansion.
