Moradabad: Moradabad witnessed a major government event on Monday as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the ‘Vyapari Kalyan Diwas’ program held on the auspicious occasion of Danveer Bhama Shah Jayanti in the city known as Peetal Nagri (Brass City).

The event brought together traders, industrialists, and public representatives in large numbers. During the program, the Chief Minister highlighted the government’s continued focus on development, law and order, and welfare schemes for the business community.

Development Projects Worth ₹365 Crore Inaugurated and Laid Foundation

A key highlight of the visit was the announcement and execution of major infrastructure development works. CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for multiple projects worth more than ₹365 crore.

These projects cover key regions of Moradabad, including:

  • Moradabad Nagar
  • Moradabad Dehat

Government Announces ₹10 Lakh Financial Aid for Registered Traders

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister made an important announcement regarding trader welfare and security.

He stated that under the state government’s “double engine” governance model, any registered GST trader or entrepreneur who suffers an accident or untimely death will have their family provided financial assistance of ₹10 lakh.

CM Yogi urged traders to ensure GST registration and make full use of the scheme, emphasizing that the government remains committed to safeguarding the interests of the business community.

Focus on Law and Order and Transformation of Moradabad

Highlighting the transformation of the city and the state, CM Yogi Adityanath said that Moradabad today is vastly different from what it was before 2017.

He strongly criticized previous governments, stating that:

  • Law and order conditions were poor before 2017
  • Youth faced unemployment and lack of opportunities
  • Traders did not feel safe or secure in conducting business

He added that improved governance, better security, and infrastructure development have helped Moradabad gain a new identity and global recognition.

According to him, the government’s biggest achievement has been eliminating crime and establishing a strong system of good governance across Uttar Pradesh.

Honouring GST-Compliant Traders and Beneficiaries

During the event, the Chief Minister also felicitated traders who performed exceptionally well in GST payments, recognizing their contribution to the state economy.

In addition, certificates were distributed to beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes. The initiative aimed to acknowledge both economic contributors and socially supported citizens under state programs.

Public Participation and Support for Government Initiatives

The program witnessed strong participation from traders, entrepreneurs, and local representatives. The attendees appreciated the government’s development-focused policies and welfare initiatives.

The event concluded with a reaffirmation of the state government’s commitment to:

  • Economic development
  • Trader safety and welfare
  • Infrastructure expansion
  • Strengthening governance systems

The Vyapari Kalyan Diwas event in Moradabad marked a significant push towards both infrastructure growth and trader welfare. With projects worth hundreds of crores, new financial security assurances for traders, and a strong political message on governance, the event reflected the Uttar Pradesh government’s broader development agenda.
