New Delhi: Ramsankar Mishra, Senior Manager (Finance) at Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a subsidiary of ONGC Ltd., has been conferred with the 8th CMA Achiever Award – 2024 for Outstanding Performance under the Public Sector – Manufacturing – Mega category. The award was instituted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) to honour professionals who have demonstrated excellence in cost and financial management, governance, and strategic innovation.
Prestigious Ceremony Held in Presence of President of India
The award was presented at a grand ceremony on June 23 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, in the presence of the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, who graced the inaugural session as the Chief Guest. The award was formally conferred by Bhartruhari Mahtab, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Finance, along with ICMAI President Bibhuti Bhusan Nayak.

Mishra earned the accolade for his exceptional role in strengthening MRPL’s Central and Corporate Accounts function. His leadership was instrumental during the acquisition and amalgamation of ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited (OMPL), ensuring compliance with disclosure norms and implementation of industry best practices. His efforts significantly improved transparency and financial reporting standards at MRPL.

The CMA Achiever Awards follow a rigorous three-tier selection process that includes nominations, screening, and a final evaluation by an eminent jury. The 2024 jury was chaired by Justice (Retd.) S.J. Mukhopadhaya, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and ex-Chairperson of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).
