New Delhi: Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI) has taken a significant step towards promoting menstrual hygiene, public health, and gender equity by launching a dedicated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative titled “Anibhrit” in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand. The project aims to create a safe, informed, and supportive environment for adolescent girls in government schools.

MoA Signed to Launch ‘Anibhrit’ CSR Initiative

CMPDI formalised the initiative by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with HLL Management Academy, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on January 20, 2026, at CMPDI Headquarters in Ranchi.

Project Coverage and Target Beneficiaries

The ‘Anibhrit’ CSR project will be implemented across 85 government schools in Ramgarh district and is expected to directly benefit around 21,478 adolescent girls. The initiative addresses key challenges related to menstrual hygiene, including access to sanitary products, awareness, and safe disposal.

Key Components of the ‘Anibhrit’ Project

The project adopts a holistic and sustainable approach through the following interventions:

  • Infrastructure Development: Installation of sanitary napkin vending machines and incinerators in schools to ensure easy availability and hygienic disposal
  • Product Distribution: Supply of 1,71,824 sanitary napkin packs to girl students
  • Awareness & Education: Conducting structured menstrual hygiene awareness sessions to reduce stigma and promote healthy practices
  • Capacity Building: Training of teachers and students to ensure long-term sustainability of the initiative
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Regular monitoring to assess implementation quality and impact

Strengthening Community Health and Gender Equity

Through the ‘Anibhrit’ initiative, CMPDI reinforces its commitment to community well-being, adolescent health, and women empowerment in its operational regions. By improving menstrual hygiene management, the project is expected to enhance school attendance, confidence, and overall well-being of adolescent girls while promoting environmental sustainability through safe waste disposal.
