Kolkata: Coal India Limited (CIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, setting out the company’s performance parameters for FY 2026-27.
The annual agreement establishes the targets and key performance parameters against which Coal India’s achievements during the financial year will be evaluated.
Coal India, Ministry of Coal Sign Annual MoU
The MoU was signed by Vikram Dev Dutt, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, on behalf of the Ministry of Coal and B. Sairam, Chairman, Coal India Limited, on behalf of CIL.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Coal and Mines.
The annual MoU provides a framework for assessing CIL’s performance against the agreed parameters during FY 2026-27.

Several senior officials of Coal India were present during the MoU signing.
The participating CIL leadership included:
- Mukesh Choudhary – Director (Marketing & HR), Additional Charge
- Mukesh Agrawal – Director (Finance)
- Achyut Ghatak – Director (Technical)
- Asheesh Kumar – Director (Business Development)
Their participation reflected the presence of CIL’s senior management during the formalisation of the annual performance framework.

CIL’s achievements during the year will be evaluated against the parameters outlined in the agreement.
