Chandigarh: The Department of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (DoPT) has released the cadre allocation list for newly appointed IAS officers of the CSE-2024 batch. Punjab has been allocated four officers, while Haryana will receive six. T
he allocations take effect immediately, with officers expected to join their respective state cadres following mandatory training.
Gurkanwal Singh (27) from Jalandhar, who secured the 353rd rank in the UPSC CSE-2024 exams, has qualified for the IAS and has been allotted the Punjab cadre.
Punjab Cadre Officers and Backgrounds
The four IAS officers allotted to Punjab are –
- Adiba Anam Ashfaque Ahmad – originally from Maharashtra
- Himanshu – native of Uttarakhand
- Gurkanwal Singh – hails from Punjab and has secured his home-state posting
- Subrat Singh Balot – from Delhi
This marks a notable appointment as Gurkanwal Singh is assigned to his home cadre, a preferred choice for many officers.
Haryana Cadre Allocations
The six IAS officers allocated to Haryana are –
- Muskan Srivastava
- Vivek Yadav
- Sohan Shallendra
- Amitej Pangtey
- Shivani Panchal
- Vishal Singh
The DoPT has formally informed all chief secretaries regarding the allocations of a total of 179 IAS officers from the 2024 batch.
