Visakhapatnam: Future wars and AI are becoming an important topic around the world. However, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that technology alone cannot win a war. Speaking at the commissioning of INS Mahendragiri in Visakhapatnam, he said that trained soldiers, national resolve, and strong military power will continue to decide victory. He also said Artificial Intelligence (AI) should support soldiers, not replace them.

Details of Rajnath Singh Speech on Future Wars and AI

Rajnath Singh said future wars may use Artificial Intelligence, drones, and advanced technologies. But he stressed that wars are still won by brave soldiers, strong leadership, and the determination of a nation. According to him, technology is only a tool. Future Wars and AI: AI and Traditional Military Must Work Together

The Defence Minister said AI and conventional military systems should work together. He explained that new technology is not a replacement for tanks, warships, aircraft, missiles, or trained soldiers. Instead, AI should make military operations faster, smarter, and more effective.

He added that modern technology and conventional weapons complement each other.

Future Wars and AI: Why Conventional Military Power Still Matters

Rajnath Singh said technology has changed modern warfare. However, the basic rules of war have not changed. Every country still needs a strong Army, Navy, and Air Force to protect its borders and national interests.

He said conventional military strength remains just as important today as it was in the past.

INS Mahendragiri Joins the Indian Navy

During the event, Rajnath Singh officially commissioned INS Mahendragiri into the Indian Navy. The warship is the sixth Project 17A Nilgiri-class stealth frigate and the last vessel built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) under the Project 17A programme. The commissioning is another important step in strengthening India’s naval power.

Andhra Pradesh Becoming a Defence Manufacturing Hub

Rajnath Singh also praised Andhra Pradesh for its growing role in India’s defence industry. He said the state has become an important centre for defence and aerospace manufacturing. This will help India become more self-reliant in defence production and create more jobs.

What is the Importance of Rajnath Singh Statement on Future Wars and AI

Countries around the world are investing heavily in AI for defence. AI can improve surveillance, intelligence, cybersecurity, drone operations, and battlefield planning. However, Rajnath Singh’s statement reminds everyone that technology cannot replace human courage, discipline, and national resolve.

His message highlights India’s strategy of combining advanced technology with strong conventional military power.
