Visakhapatnam: Future wars and AI are becoming an important topic around the world. However, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that technology alone cannot win a war. Speaking at the commissioning of INS Mahendragiri in Visakhapatnam, he said that trained soldiers, national resolve, and strong military power will continue to decide victory. He also said Artificial Intelligence (AI) should support soldiers, not replace them.

During the event, Rajnath Singh officially commissioned INS Mahendragiri into the Indian Navy. The warship is the sixth Project 17A Nilgiri-class stealth frigate and the last vessel built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) under the Project 17A programme. The commissioning is another important step in strengthening India’s naval power.
Andhra Pradesh Becoming a Defence Manufacturing Hub
Rajnath Singh also praised Andhra Pradesh for its growing role in India’s defence industry. He said the state has become an important centre for defence and aerospace manufacturing. This will help India become more self-reliant in defence production and create more jobs.
